Tom Ford is an American designer born in 1961 in Texas. He also spent most of his childhood in Texas, when later moved to study in New York University, but did not stay there for long. He decided to enroll in Parsons, but mostly during his time in New York, he was working as an actor for TV commercials. Today he is comerrcially one of the most successful designers and one of those who is taking the intrigue and sensation back to the fashion. Unlike most fashion brands, who display everything on internet, his new collections are top secret and not be revealed to general public before the actual launch.

His fashion label has been a very successful brand itself, but in the beginning he was was working for the famous Italian fashion house of Gucci, where he did a remarkable job in reinventing this fashion label and bringing it back to become again one of the the elite fashion houses. Gucci before that were under inappropriate management and had poor designs which almost cost them all the joy and glory that brand once was. The brand was on its decline but thanks to his beautiful and trendy designs, prudent direction, the brand was back again at the top of Italian fashion and today is one of the best selling Italian labels.
